Many of us enter the mental health field with the simple goal of doing good. And yet, sustainably translating our aspirations into practice is incredibly complex. As providers, we face both routine dilemmas (e.g. waitlist management, competing work demands, dual relationships) as well as bigger ones (e.g. intimidating patients, suicide risk, subpoenas, mandated disclosures).  Since 2013, Dr. Greenwell has worked as an ethics consultant in hospital and outpatient settings, helping individuals and organizations manage both the psychological demands of high-stakes decision-making and to develop values-consistent, workable solutions. She currently serves on the Utah Psychological Association’s Ethics Committee, hosts regular trainings on applied ethics in psychology, and offers individual consultation.  She is also a Nationally Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HCEC-C) with the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities
